Black LIke Me Chapter 2
Why is it nobody trusted black people in the 50's. Like MLK once said, we should be judged not by the color of our skin but by the content of our character. Like when Griffin offered his seat to a white woman on the bus; the woman commented on how sassy "they" are getting. If a white man offered his seat i'm sure she would have gladly taken it. Also, why do the accepted terms for races alwase change. When did we switch from negro to african american. Why do we use the term African American when most "African Americans" have never been to africa. My family is from Norway, but I don't think I should be called a Norwegan American.
