95-108
While Griffin was walking during the night, he couldnt take the thirst anymore. He stopped at a convenience store to get a drink. However, the old woman behind the counter refused him service. If I owned a store, it wouldn't matter who came in. A customer is a customer. Eventually, she gave in and let him buy a drink. It was nice to see a minimal amount of human decency.

BLM 77-94
It was nice to finally read about griffin staying with a white person. In comparison to the other whites in the book, P.D seems like a hero. I feel sorry for Griffin after the white boy asked him to expose himself. Why would anybody ask that. Skin tone does not effect body structure. Why would anybody think so?

BLM 38-52
This section of Black Like Me was almost a horror story. Im fairly certain what the bus driver did to Griffin was kidnapping. I can't imagine what was going through griffins mind when the bus driver wouldn't let him off. I also feel sorry for Griffin having to listen to the owner of the YMCA talk non-stop. However, the man did make a very strong point.

Black LIke Me Chapter 2
Why is it nobody trusted black people in the 50's. Like MLK once said, we should be judged not by the color of our skin but by the content of our character. Like when Griffin offered his seat to a white woman on the bus; the woman commented on how sassy "they" are getting. If a white man offered his seat i'm sure she would have gladly taken it. Also, why do the accepted terms for races alwase change. When did we switch from negro to african american. Why do we use the term African American when most "African Americans" have never been to africa. My family is from Norway, but I don't think I should be called a Norwegan American.
